Remove odors from a dress shirt

Clothes, especially shirts are inevitable to develop some sort of odors. These odors are just developed whether it is your fault or not. The odor can be from a smoked filled room, aromas of food cooking or may be it is your own body odor. However, there is nothing to worry about as you can get rid of all odors and stenches. Easy odors like of food or smoke can be removed with a simple wash. It does not mean that you wash your dress shirts every time it gets an odor, as shirts are not cheapest article of your wardrobe. Using light body sprays also help in removing odors.

If the odors are light then simply giving the shirt clean and fresh, air will do the task. The next thing that you can do to remove odors from dress shirt is to use cedar blocks. Small pieces of cedar wood naturally remove all the pests and odors from the shirts and other clothing items. Cedar blocks are generally placed in wardrobes and in pockets. If the odors are very hard, then washing shirts in vinegar, baking soda or ammonia solution would help. Put one cup of vinegar, baking soda or ammonia with every gallon of water and soak the clothes for 15 to 20 minutes. This trick will remove almost all odors from ready made or custom dress shirts.
